The gardens are lovely to wander around and filled with a huge collection of flowers and shrubs. There are plenty of seats and benches around to take a rest and admire the scenery. The walled garden with a pergola and wired sculptures is a tranquil place for a picnic – Croquet and Badminton sets are provided so you can have a game if you wish. Alternatively there is a lovely picnic area by the lake in the parkland. There is a coffee machine available in Hare Hill Gardens – and a Loo!

Look out for the 13 Hares throughout the gardens carved from trees by local Cheshire East Ranger – Ed Pilkington. The ‘Hare trail’ is a good way for children to explore the area. Ask for a map of the Hares on the way into the Gardens.

The walk from Hare Hill to Alderley passes through some lovely scenery with 12 caches on the circular route. See the Alderley-Hare Hill Circular page on the Geocaching web site.
