We'll meet at the posted coordinates at 8:00 a.m. Participants will be divided into smaller groups. We will be clearing out trash and debris from this obsolete Rest Stop, which won't take long. Each group will be assigned a section of the trail. We'll be focusing on the MNCWander trails 001 to 088 on Saturday since those seem to get the most wear and tear.
If this time does not suit, there will be another site selected for the CITO event on Sunday.
Generic sunscreen and general rubbish bags will be provided, and some chaff bags for the enthusiastic ones.
Prepare for your time on the trail with covered-in shoes, suitable personal snacks (limited shops along the Wander), and enough water not just to quench your thirst at the CITO site, but for the rest of the day. Only 'man-sized' gloves have been provided by Taree Council, so you may want to bring your own garden gloves.
When you have finished at the CITO site you may continue caching, or head back to the camp site of GC3TA31 where you will have access to a bush shower to freshen yourself up.
There is also the Geocaching Challenge of: 10,000 Fewer Pieces of Litter which you would be able to claim. All collected rubbish will be brought back to posted coordinates for disposal by the Mid North Coast Mob crew.
Unless roads are being closed from localised flooding (as we would be advised by local councils) the CITO Event will go ahead, but if you have a change of plans and decide not to come, could you please contact the 'CO' by mobile, as I will have no internet access while out and about - number below.
If you have any questions, or suggestions for rubbished areas that you have come across in your research for the Wander that could be tidied up on the Wander trail, then please contact Grahame Cookie on 0416 067 863. ASAP.
