No, no it's not an acorn but it does have a log to sign!
This cache is hidden in Taconic Ridge State Forest not far from a trail head. There are parking spots both before and after the trail head on Cowdry Hollow Road. If you are doing the full loop hike this can be your first or last cache. The loop is a little over 2 miles with about 750' of elevation gain. Happy caching!
