Geocache Description:

This old building has been a landmark in the old downtown area of Ponca City for decades. Construction began in 1922/1923 and was completed in 1927. The original elevator was built by the Ponca City Milling company and you can see their old logo bleeding through on the photos. It was purchased by Robin Hood Flour of Saskatchewan in 1945 and was closed in 1959. It was noted by the Oklahoma Historical Preservation Society in 2002.

They have been a couple of fires/arson in the old warehouse/office section and it has been declared unsafe except for the small lower section, which is currently being used for some type of office. The elevator itself is still solid, but the brick building will probably be demolished in the not to distant future. This cache is camouflaged container with swag, logbook and pen
