R.I.P. Dad! Traditional Cache
jedireitz: This cache served its purpose in remembrance of my dad. After all these years, time to put this one to rest. Covid pretty much put a damper on everything geocaching related for my wife and I. Thank you for everyone that found this cache.

A nice quiet park, where you can take your kids and go fishing off of the docks. Should be an easy find if you live in Florida.
This cache is in memory of my father. He passed away too soon because of prostate cancer. He battled it for 9 years, and at the end, it spread to his lungs and it was too much for him. He was a very caring man and loved to serve the city. This cache is placed here because for 32 years he served the city. Once he learned that he had cancer, he transferred to the building that is nearby. He worked there for 6 years, before he chose to retire due to health reasons. He loved the place and the crew that worked with him. For his funeral, there was an honor guard and they flew the American flag over the building. That, I know, would have meant the world to him. He always thought that he didn’t have many friends or people that cared deeply for him, but at the funeral the church was packed. When I looked back and saw the amount of people, I broke down in tears. He was truly loved and he will be truly missed.
I wanted my first ever placement of a cache as something meaningful, and what better way than honoring my father. R.I.P. Dad! I will forever be your Sport!
Special big thank you to JRMan, for allowing me to place this cache!
