Geocache Description:

This is a Challenge cache.  It is at the posted coordinates.  You must fulfill the requirements listed below in order to receive credit for the find.

The idea for this was inspired by KendraH as we struggled to finish and then find the 2_2 challenge up in the Lake Folsom area.  Since we were having trouble finding it, I promised her I would plant a similar one in the Bay Area. Originally, this was going to be a challenge that required averages in difficulty and terrain. Apparently this type of challenge is no longer allowed, because some cachers have to say no to lower rated caches if they are trying to achieve an average. Well this was the first I'd heard of it since I've been pursuing an averaging challenge cache for a couple years now. I do see the logic behind the reasoning. So I modified it from its original version.
I don't care when you put your initials on the physical log (as long as its there before you post your find).
In order to qualify for this smilee, you must have:
At least 2222 Finds
At least 222 Puzzle or unknown Caches.
At least 22 Multi-caches.

At least 2 virtuals, 2 Earthcaches, 2 Whereigo, 2 letterboxes, 2 CITO events, 2 webcam.

I can check your profile if you log a find.  No need to post your lists.
The cache is a medium sized pillbox, on the top of the hill, in the center of a Cathedral of Redwoods.  It is in the burnt out stump, not intended to be tough to find.    The terrain is about a 3.5 to get to the site.   If you try the direct route, it might be higher.   There is a relatively easy route, which is not the most direct one.  There is no trail for the last 100 yards.

We all cache for different reasons. In 2005 I started caching.  My first FTF ever was the top of the incline, by Kealia a little over .1 miles away from this spot. I remember leaving at the crack of dawn with a pounding heart wondering if someone could beat me to the FTF.  After caching and clearing all caches in Santa Cruz county for a couple of years, I backed off a bit, and now I mainly enjoy the tougher adventures, the tough  puzzle, the hard hike, ride, or paddle.
