Welcome to the Pembina Walsh Historic Trail (PWHT). Earn and log a commemorative coin after finding five caches in each county! Fill out the PWHT Passport at https://rendezvousregion.com/download/passport.pdf and submit it to receive your coin(s)! Our caches are located at the most interesting historical sites in Pembina and Walsh County in northeast North Dakota. This trail includes a number of gadget caches designed by Trycacheus.
Log house is at the City Park
Historical log house was fixed up by Charles H Walker for the Historical Society. Charles was a WWII veteran and was born and raised in Pembina, ND. Next to the Log House is a grave marker for an unknown soldier. The Log House is located in the Pembina City Park where there is a campground and launching dock (over the dike) on the Red River. Difficulty can go up in the Summer if the winds are calm and the skeeters are out. In the winter this could be tough with snowdrifts. You are looking for a small bright green bison tube on the outside of the building.
