Please note: This geocache container is hidden somewhere on the bridge. It is not in the grass or in the creek bed unless it has fallen from its perch. Hence the 1.5 rating for both the terrain and difficulty. We almost gave one star for terrain, but we weren't sure if someone in a wheelchair could reach far enough to access the container.
The City of Beavercreek finally saw fit to extend the sidewalk from Kemp Road to King's Gate Blvd. This extension came in conjunction with adding a set of traffic lights at the intersection of Kemp and Hanes Road. For those of us who live in this area, this was much needed. We decided to place a new geocache nearby to commemorate these two additions. We recommend parking in the University Baptist Church parking lot and crossing Hanes Road to access the new sidewalk before heading down to the bridge. There's no crosswalk from the church parking lot, but you'll be able to see well in both directions before crossing Hanes Road. It's a nice walk from the church parking lot and it's about 1/2 mile round trip. You'll be searching for a magnetic waterproof matchstick container. Bring your own writing utensil as one is not provided. Use care when removing and replacing the cache otherwise the terrain rating will increase a couple of stars for you or the next geocacher.
