Geocache Description:

I hadn't planned on making this my first hide, but the fates led me to this place along the road between Cold Springs and Rauch Gap

I stumbled upon this place on my way to place a larger cache on our hike from Cold Springs to Rauch Gap. I'm a big fan of history - especially those places time seems to have forgotten - and I thought this would help break up the 2 mile haul from one ghost town and the other.

You're looking for an olive drab (i.e. "ground colored") waterproof match container.  I did manage to stick a few stickers in there for the FTF and the 2 finders after that, but you'll need to BYOP.

Coords were averaged over 7 minutes to 100% confidence on my Dakota 10. Tree cover is heavy to say the least - so trust your geosenses to lead you right, and don't let your feet fail you, either.
