Geocache Description:

Take a break off the beaten path on your way from Cold Springs to Rauch Gap in the idyllic Stony Valley.

This is a themed cache in a traditional spot hidden off the road on the way to the abandoned town of Rauch Gap from the also abandoned Cold Springs resort. Plenty of other caches in the area provide information about the area - I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do.

If you keep an eye out, you'll see where the road less travelled leads off and runs parallel to the better-loved grade.  This could save you some bushwack heartache in the future. The cache is just over halfway between the two town sites (closer to Rauch Gap), so wear comfortable shoes, at least!

FTF gets their choce of the card-themed prizes: a card of buttons, flash cards, a wallet (to hold cards), thank you cards, and some other fun items. Please trade even & try to stay within the theme - be creative! - there's plenty of room for trackables, too.
