A Chuch Micro at Holy Trinity church, Swyre.
The present building dates from the 15th century. In 1503 the church was dedicated to the Holy Trinity, the patron then being King Henry VII.
In 1729 the Rev. John Hutchins, the celebrated author of the "History of Dorset" was the rector and he had the chancel repaired. The church was rebuilt in1843 retaining the tower and the chancel arch. In 1806 the church was given a new ceiling, bell loft floor, the bells rehung and other repairs.
In 1909 the interior was repaired and redecorated and after the winter storms of 1922 repairs were again necessary. Electricity was installed in 1952 and this was followed by a new heating system in 1955. Part of the flooring was repaired in 1985.
