The Kiama-Jamberoo shared path was opened in mid 2012 and after we cycled and jogged through here a few times after the official opening we thought something was missing ........ a geocache.
It's a nice place to visit, there's even a picnic table provided. There's lots of nice views - see the attached pictures (one reveals ground zero).
Best not to try to find it from the overhead highway. Take a detour via Kiama (Gainsborough) or Swamp Road where the path terminates. It's only a short ride or walk from the nearest parking area.
Bring a camera because there is usually lots of birdlife, but watch out for the black snakes that sometimes like to sun themselves on the path in the warmer months. Because it floods through here the geocache is not at ground level.
The container is small (micro) so please bring your own pen.
