The previous cache in this park disappeared, and we thought it was too good a location not to have one.
We were inspired by the visit of ham's sister and brother-in-law, who live in Redcar in England; they helped us create and hide this cache.
When hidden the cache contained several little toys, some boardgame markers, a full set of UK coins (less than 1 pound), and, of course, two red cars.
Redcar is a seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast in England. It was a popular holiday destination for Victorians.
In 2006, Redcar was used to represent WWII Dunkirk in the film version of the Ian McEwan novel Atonement.
Redcar rock is a tube-shaped hard candy, typically 30cm long and 2.5cm in diameter and mint or fruit flavoured, with the word REDCAR running all the way through it.
