Narrows It Down...

You will find the answers to the following questions in the vicinity of the posted coordinates:

A = combined number of A's and E's on the main sign
B = number of picnic tables in the park
C = the number on the yellow sign

Adjust the original coordinates as follows to get the location of the Second Waypoint:

Add A and B to the South Coordinates
Reverse the digits in C and then add this to the East Coordinates

At the Second Waypoint you'll find a small and sneaky plaque from which you can obtain the answers to the next question:

D = number of letters in the person's first name
E = the day component of the date
F = the number that corresponds to the month (ie Jan=1, Feb=2)
G = the last visible digit of the date

Adjust the Second Waypoint coordinates as follows to get the location of the Ground Zero:

To the South Coordinates add A, C and D, and subtract E and F
From the East Coordinates subtract E, F and G

There have been modifications to the park - waypoint two is still there, albeit a little obscured but definitely not missing. We've adjusted the terrain rating to reflect this change. Unfortunately the name of the park has also been modified so our tongue in cheek cache name is no longer as nifty!
