Geocache Description:

Another addition to the ever-growing Church Micro series. A quick and easy cache that will bring you to the Christ Church at Crouch End Hill.

The Christ Church at Crouch End Hill was consecrated in 1862 after being built on a half acre of land donated for this purpose by Charles Scrase Dickins, owner of a large part of the land in Crouch Hill. The church was intended as a replacement for a nearby chapel consecrated in 1848, which, however, had only limited capacity of 150 people.
In 1865, a sum sufficient for expansion of the church to meet its original design was obtained, and in 1867 the first services were held in the extended church, now also having the south aisle. This is the state you will find the church in these days, although some re-structuring works were undertaken in the 1970s and re-configuration of the interior in the 1980s.

The cache itself is a 35mm film cannister-like container, easily accesible 24/7.

Happy hunting!

"If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, all you need to do is let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication."
