Tämä kätkö liittyy JR37 /19. Divisioonan vaiheisiin jatkosodan alun päivinä, yhdessä Kumurin kukkuloille kätkön kanssa (GC3QCKB).
2. Pataljoona / JR37:n Kyrösmaalaiset hyökkäsivät Välivaaran alueelta (12.–13.7.1941) Kuivalaisen kukkulalle eli Pätsinmäelle. Mäki oli tiedustelutiedoista poiketen hyvin linnoitettu ja hyökkääjät kärsivät kahden päivän aikana raskaat tappiot betonibunkkereiden suojasta ammutussa konekivääri ja heitin tulessa.
Kuivalaisen kukkula sijaitsee rajan toisella puolella ja muistomerkki on paljastettu 10.7.2011 rajavyöhykkeen ulkopuolelle, jotta muistomerkillä on mahdollista vierailla. Rajavyöhykkeelle ei saa, eikä tarvitse mennä, ilman asianmukaista lupaa. Raja vyöhyke on merkitty keltaisilla nauhoilla tai merkeillä puihin ja tolppiin.
This cache is related at the JR37 / 19th Division stages in the beginning days of Continuation War, together as the cache “Kumurin kukkuloille” (GC3QCKB).
2nd Battalion / JR37's Kyrösmaalaiset attacked from Välivaaran area (12.–13.7.1941) to the hill of Kuivalainen as Pätsinmäki. The hill was well fortified unlike intelligence information told before battle, and the attackers suffered heavy losses during those two days under heavy machine gun and mortar fire from the Russian’s fortifications.
The hill of Kuivalainen situated behind the border, and the monument is unveiled 10/07/2011 before the border zone so that it is possible to visit the monument. The border zone may not be, and does not need to go, without a proper license. The border zone is marked as yellow lines to trees and poles.
