And you thought we were a nerdy group! Wait til you see this college quidditch tournament. Quidditch comes from the Harry Potter stories, and as it is played in the local colleges it has some soccer, basketball and dodge ball blended together. All played at ground level at high speed while holding a broomstick between your legs.
Pretty fun to watch.
My daughter Beth plays for Texas State and we enjoyed watching her team play in a tournament in Austin in April. SHSU and Rice are hosting this tournament and teams from A&M, Baylor, LSU, Texas State, UTSA and a bunch of others will be playing on three different pitches.
Come on out, bring a chair and a cold beverage, watch a new and exciting game and enjoy the multitude of nearby caches! The games start at 10AM and the final should be decided by 6PM
