Greek cats at Piges Kallithea Traditional Cache

Während unserer Urlaubsreise lernten wir dank gut plazierter Caches viele schöne und interessante Orte auf dieser wundervollen Insel kennen. An diesem Ort jedoch fehlte definitiv ein Cache. Hier befinden sich die Thermen von Kalithea, die 2007 nach jahrelanger Renovierung wieder eröffnet wurden. Die wunderschöne Parkanlage diente als Kulisse für mehrer Filme, lädt ein zum Schnorcheln, Tauchen und Baden oder einfach nur zum Relaxen in einem gemütlichen Cafe. Ein anderer Grund, wegen dem wir euch hierher führen ist der Zufluchtsort für viele Katzen in unmittelbarer Nähe des Caches. Hier kümmern sich ehrenamtlich eine handvoll Einheimische um schätzungsweise 200 Katzen, darunter viele Katzenbabies. Aus diesem Grund fahrt hier vorsichtig und parkt nicht direkt an der Katzenstation.Schaut Sie euch aber ruhig an. Die Chancen stehen gut, dass ihr um 10 Uhr jemanden antrefft. Der Cache dürfte keine Probleme bereiten. Es handelt sich um eine Dose mit Logbuch, Stift und Platz für TB's und Coins. Da es sich bei den Thermen um eine Touristenattraktion handelt, kann das Muggelaufkommen hoch sein, seid also vorsichtig.

During our visit we got to know lots of interesting places, thank to well-placed caches on this beautiful island. At this location a cache was definitely missing. This is the location of thermal springs of Kalithea which have been reopened into 2007 after years of renovation. The beautiful park served as backdrop for several Movies, invits to snorkeling, diving and swimming or simply to relax in the cosy cafe. Another reason for us leading you to this place is the refuge for a lot of cats right near to the cache. Here a handful of locals take care of about 200 cats/kitten on a voluntary bases. Therefore drive slowly and carefully and don't park directly at the catstation. Take some minutes and have a look. You have good chance to meet someone around 10 a.m. To the cache there shouldn't be any problems. You found a container with logbook, pencil and room for Trackables and Coins. As the thermal springs are a tourist attraction you just have to watch out for muggles.
