Outdoors Duo: As I live 100 miles from this cache, and not being able to maintain it properly, I wish to archive it now. It was a fun cache for about 12 years, but time to archive it at this time. Thanks Mongo for alerting me.

Geocache Description:

A short walk from the parking lot to the cache location. This can be a high muggle area, use stealth in finding and replacing the container.

Purina Farms is a great place to take the family for the afternoon or day. To me this area needed a cache, so permission was asked and granted. The Dog Jump pool area is the site of competition for dogs that are coaxed in to jumping into the water to retrive their favorite water toy. Measurments are taken and judged on distance they jump for their toy. Obviously, dogs are grouped according to size and weight for the competition.

The Dog Jump is just one of the areas that are open to public to view while at Purina Farms.

This cache would be best visited during the day light hours, as there is a security officer at the entrance to the Farm. I personally have been here 4 times, and it was always during the daytime. Didn't think about all you cachers out there with flashlights and lanterns hunting caches after dark. Sorry!

Open:Mid March thru Mid November (closed major holidays) 9:30am to 4pm
