Geocache Description:


The large red barn(white roof) that you can see from this location is called The Hooch Barn.  This barn was built in 1926.  Al Capone was known to frequent this barn during Prohibition times.  His men would guard the area from the upper windows in the barn loft.  In 1930 Federal Agents raided this still and closed it down.   This barn was in the 2011 Whiteside County Barn tour.  The barn is on private property.  Please only view it from the road.
