The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates!

I was doing a little internet browsing, following up on some information of interest to me, when I stumbled on a picture that I just had to know more about.  A modified version of the picture is shown below.  Find the original image and use the obscured text to calculate the final coordinates for this cache.  The final is at: N 42° 01.abc W 88° 01.def.

Change the letters in the text into digits, where 'A' is 1, 'B' is 2,...'I' is 9, 'J' is 0, 'K' is 1 and so on to 'Z' = 6.

a = Letter #4 + Letter #7
b = Letter #5
c = Letter #1 + Letter #2
d = Letter #8 - Letter #4
