Geocache Description:

A hike up to a small picturesque sub alpine lake southeast of Salmo. Panther Lake is surrounded on 3 sides by the 3 Sisters Peaks.

Driving Directions; Drive along Sheep Creek Forest Service Road following the creek all the way. Don’t take any spur roads leading up to the left. The first parking area is for cars and SUV's. Vehicles with enough clearance to cross the multiple waterbars will be able to drive further up the road to the trail head. There is limited parking at the trailhead.

The hike from the first parking area is about 5km one way. Hiking to the lake from the trail head is about 3km.
Once at the Lake you’ll arrive at the campsite and looking across the Lake, you can see the BIG rock where the cache is located (less than 1km away). At the far end of the lake you’ll need to cross a couple small creeks to reach the cache site. The cache is located inside a dry "cave" at the back end of the big rocks. Spoiler pic of the "cave" entrance is provided
