Geocache Description:

11 years ago I went 1 week to Huntville, Alabama. It was International Space Camp. I tried a space shuttle simulator. We tried how it is to walk on moon. I learned a lot about ISS and space travel. My group made an own patch. I also meet the mens who started the space project a long time ago. One of the best weeks in my life. This is a tribute to that week.
This summer I visited Cape Caneveral for the first time. It was great!

International Space Station

The International Space Station (ISS) is a habitable artificial satellite in low Earth orbit. The ISS is a modular structure whose first component was launched in 1998. The ISS consists of pressurised modules, external trusses, solar arrays and other components. ISS components have been launched by American Space Shuttles as well as Russian Proton and Soyuz rockets.

The ISS serves as a microgravity and space environment research laboratory in which crew members conduct experiments in biology, human biology, physics, astronomy, meteorology and other fields. The station is suited for the testing of spacecraft systems and equipment required for missions to the Moon and Mars. The station has been continuously occupied for more than 11 years.
