The UK 2013 Mega committee invite you to join us as we look forward to next year's Mega Event.
In less than a year from now the UK's 6th Annual Mega Event will be held at the Heritage Motor Centre having brought geocachers from all over the world to celebrate our unique hobby. But in between now and then we have a lot of hard work ahead of us with planning and fundraising.
The Barley Mow is a historic pub set on the edge of Penn Common on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. Expect low beamed ceilings and even lower doors - built that way to easily conserve heat I'm told. There's plenty of atmosphere and a great selection of ales to boot. For those hungry souls amongst you food is served all day on Saturday!
Let's not forget the caching opportunities! There are two excellent trails that start a stone's throw away from the pub; Penn takes you on a walk around the golf course on the Common and Meg's Walk allows you to take in the surrounding countryside. For those brave enough why not attempt the Sedgeley Stroll which starts in Hurst Hill Woods and ends up on Sedgley Beacon, it's a bit of a walk but worth it for 12 smileys! You never know there may be something else that appears by the event . . .
We will be located in the pub's gazebo, where there will be lots going on including;
- The Mega fundraising raffle
- Mega 2013 merchandise for sale
- A chance to meet committee members and share your thoughts and opinions
- A suggestion box for your ideas for next year's Mega - so get your thinking caps
on!

Please Note: Due to the location of the pub, parking is limited. There are pull-ins on the lanes and roads around the Common which can be used at your own risk. There is also parking across the common on the Sedgeley Road for those wanting to start the trails from another location.
The 2013 Committee would be very grateful if people could donate a raffle prize to use either at this event or at a different time, helping to raise funds for the Mega.
