Zig Zagging Through Durham/Saugeen River
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The Mighty Saugeen River, famous for canoeing, fishing, and kayaking, weaves and zigzags its way through the rolling countryside and villages eventually making its way to Lake Huron. This portion of the river flows beside The Durham Conservation Area, two parks, behind the fairgrounds, and through the town of Durham.
This caching experience highlights two points on the Saugeen east and west of Durham.
Bring your fishing rod during Fishing Season. I hear there are brown trout as well as speckled trout!
You are looking for a redirect at Stage 1 which will take you to Stage 2 and the cache container.
It is approximately 4 km between stages - a nice hike, bicycle ride, or the easiest mode of transportation would be by car.
STAGE 2 - No need to go off the bridge. Coords may tell you otherwise but don't go, you'll get wet.
You also need a pen or pencil to sign the log.
