Geocache Description:

Are you in the Market Place to stand out from the crowd?

Join us at Lincoln Christmas Market
for a Flash Mob Meet
on
Thursday 6th December 2012
in the Famous Bailgate.

19.30 hrs sharp!

On behalf of

The Lincolnshire Geocaching Community

Lincoln Christmas Market, probably the largest in Europe, has over 150,000 visitors every year over the four days in December. It has become an iconic event in Lincolns History and takes place in and around the cobbled streets between the Cathedral and the Cities Castle, This is a fantastic opportunity for Geocacher's to make an impact on the visitors, and to be sure, they wont have a clue who we are!

(Date chosen as the Thursday is a little less crowded than the other days, and it could be dangerous due to the high volume of visitors on the fri/sat & sun),

We are looking for 12 volunteers for high-profile input, and as many as possible for a low profile position.
All sounds mad hey? Well here is the plan;
...

Following a pre-meet of about 10 minutes to ensure everyone (in high profile positions) are ok with what’s going on and there positions of taking part, We will all meet at the coordinates in the Castle Square (Bailgate).

At the given time, the first cacher begins singing the first line of the song, “The 12 days of Christmas” Then the second cacher, sings the next bit, i.e. Two Turtle Doves, and is then joined by the first singer, who finishes their original line.
Following the third and fourth all the way up to the twelfth day, when it goes mad and everyone (including low-profile singers) joins in all the way down to a Partridge in a Pear Tree and we all disappear!
***The odd exception is everyone sings “Five Gold Rings” but very quietly on the first time as if by a whisper. The next time it’s sung, it gets a little louder and so on.***

Would you or your wives, husbands, partners etc, like to have a high profile position? I am happy to take part so that leaves 11 places. Please let me know through your "I will attend logs" that you would like one of the high-profile singing parts. You can pick your own lines, or we can pick one for you if you prefer.

The date will be fixed as above, time will be a 19.30 for the event and pre-meet 19.10. Unfortunately I can not make the other dates and although this is mid week, it is actually the best night to visit without being crushed in the crowds. Be warned, I would expect at least 500 to 2000 on-lookers, so don’t volunteer unless you mean it! (lets see who the brave ones are!)

Disabled persons are most welcome, but wheelchair users may find difficulty over the cobbled roads and in the crowds. Terrain set accordingly.

Here are the words;

The Twelve Days of Christmas (12 Days of Christmas) : Lyrics

Play Music !

On the first day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
A partridge in a pear tree.

On the second day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

***
On the third day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
