If we come up with another idea we might just mention this illustrious son of Hetton again.

Geocache Description:

This cache is to show people the Hetton Memorial to Bob Paisley. Bob was born and spent his formative years in Hetton Le Hole and played football for local teams before he went to start his illustrious career at Liverpool F.C. Some say he was the greatest manager that Liverpool F.C ever had and who are we to argue with that? After his death his family and Hetton Town Council wanted more to commemorate him than the blue plaque on his old school and after raising funds a memorial was placed in the centre of Hetton in the mini park next to the War Memorial.
