The cache is on Velmead common. The common is well known to dog walkers like myself. This cache is named after our dog, Pepper, and is hidden on one of our favourite walks. There is easy access via well worn paths and is suitable for bikes. The cache is a 15x10x5cm container in a camouflage bag.
The easiest place to park is in one of several free car parks in Aldershot road.
The army occasionally train here, so be prepared to keep out of their way.
Please Note: This is a Military Training Area on which live firing and other pyrotechnics may be used. The area is generally open public access. One of the safety rules for public access is:- Do not, (and ensure that children do not) approach, touch or pick up any metal objects lying on the ground. Please obey all byelaws and locally posted information concerning times when the area may be closed. These may be physical barriers, flags or lights.
