Geocache Description:

This Wherigo cartridge will guide you through the driving tour of Stones River National Battlefield. The park is open daily from 8am - 5pm. The park is Closed Thanksgiving Day and December 25th. You should give yourself about 2 hours to complete the tour, so it is not advisable to start later than 3pm so you are not rushing to finish before the park closes. Upon completion of the tour, you will be guided to a geocache, which is outside of the boundaries of the Park.

To download the cartridge, visit the wherigo page at:
Stones River National Battlefield Wherigo Cartridge

This step is optional, but very informative: The park has a "cell phone tour" that you can do in conjunction with the driving tour and wherigo cartridge. The park's official driving tour and this wherigo tour follow the same route. When you get to the "Tour Stop 1" Simply call 585-797-0076 and follow the directions it gives you.

There is a FTF prize in the cache, good luck!

This is a cache in our series:
Team Trunk Monkey's 81 Difficulty / Terrain Combo Challenge

In an effort to publish more caches in the area in and around Murfreesboro, we considered a power trail along Manchester Pike. Nothing against power trails, as they can be allot of fun condensed into a short amount of time, but we wanted to do something different, and add to the diversity and range of different types of caches in the area at the same time.
There are 9 different star levels for Difficulty & Terrain, making for 81 possible combinations. I'm sure you have all seen the grid displaying all the different possibilities. We are making it our goal, a personal challenge of sorts, to publish 81 caches in the area between Murfreesboro & Manchester. Unlike a power trail, where we could have them all published at once, this series will be a process, and these caches will be published as we find appropriate locations for all the various combinations. We will also be trying to incorporate as many possible different cache types too, so expect some multi-caches, offset caches, puzzle caches, Letterbox Hybrid caches, and maybe even an earthcache if we can find an appropriate geological oddity in the area.

So we hope you will enjoy these caches as much as we are going to enjoy putting them out there for you. Cache was adopted and have not been able to keep a regular container here. It is a preform tube now and will not be changing the size durle to many peoples stats.
