I walk these streets frequently, and I was surprised by the item that was built within the past year or two. A private fire hydrant - hate to get the water bill on that one
I figured there's got a be a way to use this information, and here it is:
This is a simple multicache in Somis - start at the coordinates, pick up some information, do a few simple calculations and find the cache.
At the coordinates record the address that the private fire hydrant serves, then drive 2 tenths of a mile east on La Cumbre to where the street widens out and you can park safely and calculate. If fact, this is a good place for you to leave your car and walk to the cache (within a ~1/4 mile)
Let WXYZ be the address of the house it serves.
Using the given coordinates as a reference, the cache you seek is 0.ABC minutes west and 0.DEF minutes south
A, D and E are all the same number and are equal to W-Y
BC is the sum of WX plus one-half of (Z-Y)
F is the value of X-Z
Checksum for ABC and DEF is 8
Cache is a camo'd bison tube, hidden on an object within a few feet of the street (no need to go traipsing onto someone's property), between three and four feet off the ground. Log only, so be sure to bring your own pen/pencil.
You can validate your puzzle solution with
certitude.

Happy Caching! A cache a day keeps the doctor away
Feedback is always appreciated on the difficulty/terrain ratings, cache descriptions, etc - thanks.
