Son Tra Giant Banyan Tree
An amazing and unique giant banian tree with dozens of roots spanning down to ground, Hon Nghe point, North –east of the peninsula.No ones know exactly how old the tree is. For logals, the tree may reach up to 1,000 year – old. 20m hight. 9 root- clusters. Largest roots reach up to 1m in diameter.
17 kms from the city centre, winding & hilly roads, the tree is a favourite place for tree lovers and alike ones, esp during the hot summer days.On clear days, there is a good view forwarding Danang, Son Tra main path and Cham Island.
For reasons, I prefer to name the Son Tra giant tree as living folks heritage and spirit.

The terrain is challenging and very rugged. Be careful for muggles
