De meest recente en modernste elektriciteitscentrale van ons land ligt voor onbepaalde tijd stil. De gascentrale T-Power in Tessenderlo is immers onrendabel.
De stroom die T-Power zelf zou produceren is duurder dan die van kernenergie en hernieuwbare energie.
T-Power werd pas in juni 2011 in gebruik genomen. De centrale staat op de terreinen van het chemiebedrijf Tessenderlo Group in Tessenderlo. De bouw kostte 440 miljoen euro.
