Serie de cachés Rascacielos de Benidorm, el primero, el Hotel Bali.

Situación del caché:

Se encuentra en las cercanías del Hotel Bali.
El Gran Hotel Bali, con sus 186 metros, es la cumbre del ‘Skyline’ de Benidorm. Desde su construcción ha pasado a formar parte de la lista de elementos imprescindibles de fotografiar en la ciudad. Su complicada construcción comenzó en 1987 y se inauguró en 2002, tras 14 años de obras. Uno de sus primeros huéspedes fue Elton Jonh.
La obra se realizó con un sistema de estructura reticular que hace el edificio más seguro y resistente que los de hormigón común, y además tiene complejos sistemas informáticos de seguridad. En los primeros años 90, con la estructura aún inconclusa, se grabaron varias escenas de la película ‘Huevos de Oro’ con Javier Bardem de protagonista. En aquel entonces la torre rondaba los 30 pisos. Hoy las vistas son aún mejores, se puede ver Tabarca en un dia claro.
El hotel alberga diversas pruebas deportivas a lo largo del año. Ejemplo de ello es la celebración del primer Campeonato de Salto Base en 2008, el reciente Record Guiness de Mustafá ‘Danger’ al cruzar en moto por un cable de acero a 150 metros de altura la distancia que separa la cumbre del hotel de El Tossal de La Cala, la ‘Subida de escaleras’ o el Festival de Ajedrez del Gran hotel Bali, que trae a Benidorm a grandes figuras del ajedrez.

• El mirador está abierto a todo el público.
• Cuando terminó de construirse fue el edificio más alto de España.
• Los planos originales contemplaban una antena que no llegó a instalarse y haría a la torre llegar a los 210 metros de altura.
• El Residencial In Tempo (200m.), ahora en construcción, será la primera torre que sobrepase al Gran Hotel Bali.
