Geocache Description:

A short letterbox in a cemetery – caching during daylight hours only per Michigan law. Please do not remove the stamp or stamp pad, they are part of the cache.

We always enjoy discovering small, country cemeteries and learning what is unique about each one. At this Vergennes Twp. Cemetery park your vehicle at the posted coords, unhook the gate and enter. Turn to your left and follow the fence until you reach the headstone that says Fallas. The Fallas family were instrumental in settling the nearby village of Fallasburg – an area that many enjoy going to today for a ride across a covered bridge, kayaking or fishing in the river, spending time with family on a picnic or letting the little ones play on one of the playgrounds. Once you've found the Fallas stone, stand with your back to the road and start walking. You'll go past many Moon's and finally reach the Hall. From there you should keep your back to the road and take 15-20 steps straight ahead to a bushy shrub and there you will discover the treasure that you came to find. Please re-hook the gate on your way out – thanks!

We used to have a film canister hidden in this cemetery, but it kept disappearing – guess the critters were curious. We archived that cache finally and decided to try again in another spot – hence the name of the cache, Fallass Stone, Take 2.

FTF Congrats to hiking_man - thanks for finding our very first letterbox!
