Summer finds the mountains covered in many wild flowers. Heather, Lupins, Indian paintbrush, and “Hippie Heads”(Western Anemone/Old Man of the mountain), and Monkey Flower(Red Mimulus), to name a few.
Our family has spent many hours up here picnicking in the wild flowers, wading in the cold puddles and gurgling streams and hiking to the many nearby peaks and lakes.
This geocache is placed at the bottom parking lot on the way up Belle Mountain. It is accessible year round (even in 5 feet of snow) and should be a quick find. Do not remove the container, just pop off the lids and sign the log.
