A simple cache and dash that has been set in the A road series that has been placed to highlight, honour and generally bring attention to the excellent work of a cacher living locally.
There are many historical and fictional wizards of note....Merlin...Gandalf....Rincewind....Harry Potter....even Sooty, but there is only one Wizard worth mentioning in the locality of the cache. He goes by the name of Abanazar.
I have set this cache to honour his great work, firstly as a "thank you" for many hours of pleasure and pain whilst attempting his caches, but also as a way of bringing his caches to the attention of the masses. I know many cachers are put off of doing puzzle caches as they are too confusing or too difficult, but Abanazar caches are always entertaining and contain more twists and turns than a best selling novel that will pull you in to the experience until you are totally spent. He is a dream weaver and nightmare maker in equal measure but a master story teller above all compare.
It is my experience however, that Abanazar is typical of many of the great historical and fictional Wizards of note. Every Wizard possesses a soul of very great power, and is in a constant battle to use this power for the good of mankind, rather than for their own greed or gain. Abanazar caches are exactly the same. He very definately has a wicked side that will torture you beyond all measure, but he is always ready with a word of advice or encouragement....you only have to ask!
This is a simple cache and dash but younger cachers should be kept under control due to the nature of the layby and the busy A road. The cache itself is set a short distance away.....in the Wizards Playground.
I myself have battled dragons, journeyed to Hades (and beyond), quested to very great lengths, and even visited a library (shudder) in the search for caches set by Abanazar, and travelled the lands near here in the process many many times, so this seemed to be an appropriate location for an honourary cache placement.
Feel free to grab this cache if you havent yet tackled a cache set by the mighty Wizard, but please look him up when you get home, you wont regret it....probably. And beware! He may even be watching as you sign the log.
