At this place, the first allied soldiers crossed here into Germany, 96 days after the Landing in Normandy, on september 11, 1944 at 16.30 hours
2nd Platoon, Troop B, 85th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, 5th US Armored Division
The cache is located in a little hole in the rock at 2 m height just on the opposite side of the monument (right to the bus stop). It's provisorily placed at this position due to the fact that the location is going to be newly-arranged. The cache is a little green tube and looks a bit military. It's about 6 cm long. A magnet is placed in the lid to allow you to withdraw it from the small hole. So you might need a key or something made of steel. Please make sure to replace the tube with the lid örientated to the street, otherwise it will be impossible to get it out of the hole again.
