A small green container tucked away out of sight. There is room to pull over to the side of the road, making it a good park n' grab. The road can be very busy, but there are occasional breaks in traffic and you can hear the cars before you see them. The cache contains pins and small traders.
Outdoor activities and adventures have always been important to Guiding. This year, the girls and leaders of our district are undertaking a new challenge - geocaching. It has many similarities with the traditional map and compass orienteering. It requires a bit less gear (which is good), and involves a few more buttons (which may be bad). Hopefully the technology won't get the better of us.
We are jumping in with both feet. The girls are excited and enthusiastic. We have already found a few caches and completed a challenge. A few more-experienced Geocachers helped us to hide two caches of our own. Now we have something for the girls to track on the website.
