Skookum Bear: Cache Owner,

As you have not indicated that you have visited your cache location to replace it if it was missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within a reasonable amount of time, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities.

Please do not respond to this note by sending an email reply - your response will go to an unmonitored location and disappear into the ether instead of being sent to me. If you need to contact me regarding this cache, please do so using the link on my Profile Page

Geocache Description:

BYOH20... &P! is a series of 20 caches. 19 traditional caches have been placed along the Rim Trail, east of Creston, 3 of which contain clues needed to locate the 20th, and final, puzzle cache.

The BYOH2O... &P! series involves a significant hike: just over 3.5km each way. I'm an out-of-shape 300 pounder, so the hike is doable, but it takes me 3 hours, round trip, if I'm not caching. Although the elevation change from one end of the series to the other is only about 60m, there are several uphill climbs that will get you breathing hard and a couple of downhill slopes that will be work not to go down dangerously fast. Sturdy footwear is recommended.

I should also mention the drive up. From the end of the pavement is about 11km to the suggested parking area. The road is steep and rocky. I can get there in my truck, no problem, in 2 wheel drive. Clearance isn't a big issue, but I wouldn't drive a Toyota Camry up here. Any crossover SUV should be able to make it. Just take it slow so the rocks don't take too much of a toll on your tires and suspension.

Typically, this series should be available from July 1 to mid-October.

Remember: Bring your own water... and Pen!

The name of this cache doesn't depend on which way you are going on the trail.

Look for a red water bottle.
