Pearly Girl, our only girl, caches as Dr. Rose (don't ask, we don't know why!) Check out the view from this cache....beautiful, just like Pearl!
In honor of our sweet daughter, Pearl. A funny young lady who defies the odds and continues to make us smile everyday. She is a wonderful travel companion, always up for anything--including caching.
Pearl is a Special Olympian---she has bowled, golfed, swims, played basketball, and cross country skied. In 2006, she represented Alaska and the USA at the Special O World Games in Sun Valley Idaho. She brought home a gold in the 1K and a silver in the 500 m. She holds a job and is a director on the state board of Special O. She is truly an amazing young woman. Our special girl has Down Syndrome.
To find this cache, park near 064 and 004 and then just gradually walk up the little esker on the north side of the road. Go westward to the first real landmark. Lots of berries the day we hid this cache.
Cache contains a duck, a zebra, a girly photo frame, a boyfriend (yes it's true) bandaids, forget-me-not patch, and a flip-flop key chain from Hawaii. Trade sweet in honor of Pearl!
