Geocache Description:

SAFETY FIRST CACHERS, PLEASE!!!

This is my first cache placement. I have gotten permission to place a cache @ this location from The Falling Waters Battlefield Association.   Within 2-4ft of co-ordinates. Signal here does bounce sometimes.
●☆•☆•☆ Please be careful in the tall grass, there are small sink holes and ankle twisting rocks. ☆•☆•☆●

It has taken me quite a few years to find this waterfall. I was either told there was no waterfall, or given bad directions. Once I drove over it and did not even know it was there, that was before it was cleared and the battlefield signs were placed.

This is my Hometown, and its' battle and I share a special day.

This is Little "Peanut" Eagle @ Falling Waters Falls. She is missed.

IF you take the small path to the left of the cache(Left of the power pole as well.) , it is not a maintained path. You may twist your ankle or trip easily over roots or shale. There are thorns in the nearby bushes - but there is a very pretty view of the falls near a mostly hollow tree. Almost always a bit muddy, may be slippery. PLEASE be careful near the water.

-*- PLEASE do not climb on/around the waterfall OR the Fence. This is a closely bordered to private property site. </>
-~*~- No need to go around the fence, it is there for safety.

Watch your children when letting them walk to see the fall so they will not fall and get hurt or fall in the water. Please keep pets on leashes, as the road and river are nearby. (Don't be like me and have to go hunting for your pet...)

Feel free to CITO while you get a view of the falls, if you choose to do so Or in the surrounding area, along the roadside(Between Encampment RD ramp; Rt11) - around the parking lot - along the path to the falls; keeping safety first priority! It was also brought to my attention, the historical value of this spot.

During the civil war, a grist mill stood here. The railroad and embankment were built after the war. (Please do not climb/walk near rails.) Makes one wonder how pretty this spot was back before people really got their hands into the ground. I would tell you its role in the battle, but then you'd have no reason to read the historical sign. =D
Hope ya'll enjoy cachers

-~*~- Stay SAFE!!! -~*~-

**Congrats to MDFirecacher for FTF!!!** And he's forgiven for sneaking the log away, since he did place one in... lol =P Must remember to better lable next time. =)

This cache has more muggle activity with the population boom. Please remain nice and patient, try not to draw extra attention to this really easy cache. Thanks.
13 May 2019
This cache has had many issues with damage and theft. And I have been dealing with injuries from a bad fall at the end of 2017.. So smallish/microish (to me from a 2x2inch plastic/tin container to a large pill/match is a size between small & micro reg and small "pill" tubes size) containers are going to be used - with the most simple & basic placement for a while.

1 May 2015 Old cache that came home for maintenance last year is now again in play. It's counterpart walked off last year, which is off because it IS heavy, please be careful with the foliage, it helps hide it well along with its camo. Thanks. Enjoy cachers!

14 March 2015 the cache was down for a while do to it disappearing, then I couldn't get out for a while... Temp. cache, lock n lock container in place. Camo taped, careful where you walk. never know when you may step through something... Or twist an ankle.. Place replace back as you found it so other cachers can enjoy too.
