Vi hittade vår första geocache år 2002 så i år firar vi 10-årsjubileum som geocachare ! Vi har fått se och vara med om mycket spännande under dessa år. Vi har hittat över 15000 cachar och letat burk i 26 länder på 4 kontinenter.
För att fira vårt jubileum har vi lagt ut en serie med 10 cachar + en bonuscache. Vi har valt platser som vi själva gärna skulle ha besökt för att få nöjet att logga en found. Som ni kommer att se är det inga ”drive-in”-cachar precis. Och dom är inte gömda i skyltar eller rör heller. . . . . .
Detta år fanns det fortfarande en cachetyp som sedan länge är borta nämnligen "Locationless caches", dvs platslösa cachar. GC6043, Old Historic Log Cabins, är ett sådant exempel. Uppgiften var att ta ett fotografi av ett gammalt timmerhus samt logga med koordinaterna för huset och en bild. Vi valde Kullängsstugan utanför Askersund. Den är från 1600-talet och således väl kvalificerad. Vilket år var detta. Sista siffran i årtalet = J.
På loggboken finns en 2-siffrig kod (jj). Den behövs för att kunna hitta bonuscachen !
Denna cache är placerad på en drumlin som sträcker sig rakt ut i sjön Boren.
We found our first geocache in 2002 so this year we celebrate our 10th anniversary as geocachers! We have seen a lot of exiting things and places during these years. We have found more than 15000 caches and cached in 26 countries on 4 continents.
To celebrate our anniversary, we have placed a series of 10 caches + a bonus cache. We have chosen sites we would love to search for caches at. As you will soon realize, those are no drive-in-caches and they are not hidden in road signs nor poles. . . . . .
This year was one of the last for "Locationless caches". GC6043, Old Historic Log Cabins, is an example of such a cache. The task was to take a picture of an old loghouse and upload the picture and it's coordinates. We chose Kullängsstugan outside of Askersund. It's from the 17th century and as such well qualified. What year did we log this cache ? The last digit in the year = J.
There is a 2 digit code (jj) on the logbook. You will need this code to be able to find the bonus cache !
This cache is hidden on a drumlin that extends right into lake Boren.
