Welcome to the Maple Highlands Trail in the Geauga Park District. This cache is placed with the permission of the Park District. You are looking for a "pop top" container. Please be aware that the trail is open from Sunrise to Sunset. The parking areas are open later but the trail is a dawn to dusk trail.
For this cache I pose the immortal thought experiment. If a tree falls in the woods and noone is around to hear it does it make a noise? I wonder if anyone was around when this tree fell. I have lots of experiance being around trees when they fall. Usually I'm the reason they are falling. But this one time I was out with a my lab partners for a class in college and we were goofing around only barely focused on the lab work we were supposed to be doing when all of a sudden we heard, and very close by, the sounds of a tree coming down. You would be amazed how quickly the 4 of us went in 4 different directions. After the impact we regrouped and continued down the trail back towards our vehicles, we decided that even with our hard hats the woods wasn't a good place to be on a blustery fall day. About 300 feet down the trail we came across the tree. I can say that it made a noise but if we hadn't been there I can't say that it would have.
