Frisco #4003.
Frisco 4003 is a 2-8-2, Mikado type, standard gauge steam railway locomotive built by the American Locomotive Company in 1919 as a standard United States Railroad Administration light Mikado for the Pennsylvania Railroad. It cost $53,619.
The Frisco put it into service hauling freight between Fort Smith, Arkansas and Monett, Missouri, which included a stretch through the Boston Mountains that was relatively steep. Two major sources of carloads were berries, a million quarts shipped in 1941, and zinc, which was smelted in Fort Smith.
Like all the other US railroads, the Frisco actively began converting to diesel power in the late forties. 4003 was retired in early 1952, shortly before the last steam powered train on the Frisco.

Yes you may have been here before, but the container most of you found was a container that was just meant to be temporary. The original was stolen twice in a week period just after posting. So I figured if I made a new one that I would re-post it. With the new cachers in the area building cool caches I needed to redo this one. Gold goes to the First to Find.
The new cache is a container in another container. The outside container is now part of the train and can not be stolen “Technically”. You will have to hold it tight while you open the secret door. Once again don’t bump your head.
The cache is not up in the cab, but the museum has put a step ladder on the eastside for you to get up into it. Also you can go into the Caboose and up in the cupola . All the signs posted that say BE SAFE KEEP OFF are to keep you from climbing were they don’t want you to.
