This little multi cache will lead you to the Monastery of Leshok. In the monastery complex live monks and they are a lot of tombs. Please respect the place and visit the monastery only during day time from 10:00 a.m. until sunset.

About the Monastery
The Monastery of Leshok is located on the southeastern side of the mountain Shar Planina near the Macedonian city Tetovo. In the monastery complex are the churches of St. Athanasius and the Holy Mother of God Church. At the beginning of the 19th century the monastery has grown as a literary and educational center with an own monastery library. Within the complex you can also find the tomb of a Macedonian educational writer who represents the first generation of writers of the modern Macedonian literature.
Today the monastery is known for the beautiful christenings and weddings in the St. Athanasius church and as a beautiful tourist destination in the summer time. Especially on the Macedonian national holiday, the 2nd of August, many Macedonians come for picnic, where they honor the St. Elias day.
We hope we can show you with this cache the monastery, which represtents the highest spiritual center of Tetovo.
Although inside the complex is a restaurant and the access is not restricted, you should respect the place and only go for the cache during the day time.

Take a look at the tomb stone. Count the letters of the first word (it is the first name). The number of letters is "C". Below the name you will find the year of birth and year of death. The second digit of the year of birth is "D" (yDyy - yyyy).
