It is a bird refuge here in the middle of town. Many deer play in these woods and if you get lost you may find the creek that feeds Boomer lake. I would recommend setting a waypoint from where you park on knoblock. Going in is easy getting out can be tricky being that it is easy to get lost in the woods.
These woods were a favorite place to play as a child for my wife and we thought it a fitting location for our first cache. The cache is about the size of a 50 cal ammo can and has been covered in spray foam to give it an additional texture. It is well painted (I think) and is located under what I like to call a natures X. In the cache there is a non-activated travel bug for the FTF if you can get it out of its well little puzzle box. We cache with our 3 year old and its contents have but not limited to child friendly swag with a few adult grabs. I used my iphone to get the coordinates with an accuracy of 16 feet. I hope you enjoy our little hide.
