This is a lovely walk through the hills on the north of Strathearn on the southern flanks of Carn Chois along the Highland Boundary fault.
The cache trail is along the walk from Loch Turret to the mountainbike trails/walks at Braincroft near Comrie.
The walk is on a decent landrover track and with a short section over rugged moorland. It is described as a walk but it is a brilliant mountainbike trail if you keep to the landrover track.
Good views from here west to Comrie and north to Choineachin Hill with its recognisable cairn on top.
Plenty of Scottish heather here too, up on the moors. Wander to GZ on top of some outlying rocks and realise that this is the point where the Lowlands become the Highlands (The highland boundary fault) Won't say too much more as it would then become an earthcache then but I'm sure you could check MrG for more information about the fascinating geology of this area.
oh, ....and the mountain views are fantastic from here.
...and if you're into wildlife there's every chance of seeing raptors from Red Kite to Ospreys. Recent sightings locally have included fox, red squirrels, roe deer, rabbits, pine martins, a wild cat, red deer, greater spotted woodpecker, green woodpecker, black grouse, pheasants, jackdaws, crows, herons, buzzards, swallows, dragon-flys, common wall lizard, newts, frogs, toads, brown trout, painted ladies (butterflies),..
*****Congratulations to Cookster, Doozin Tiger & Lynn (the non cacher) on a joint FTF *****
