Ever wonder where the Greenville memorials and plaques related to the Civil War are? Well they are right here. The coords will take you to the tall statue in the center of this little park. From there please take a few minutes to look at and read all the plaques and memorials to be found here. And along the way you will find the cache which is located behind the armory. BYOP.
Please be careful with the container and the log when retrieving and replacing it. There may be muggles about, many just walking their dogs. There are nice benches in the area where you can sit and sign the log. The cache itself is located a few short paces off the pavement. Hence the 1.5 terrain rating. But unless it is really wet and muddy a wheelchair should be able to get right to the cache. The container is camo'ed to blend in with its immediate surroundings. You may want to bring your tweezers along to aid in getting the log out of the container. There are angled parking spaces on N. Main Street located fairly near the cache site. Just a short walk away. Give those a try. If you are walking around downtown Greenville on a geo-cache quest, this one is real accessible. Having trouble finding this one? You are reading the plaques aren't you?
