Perching Pachyderm is the first in a series of caches that follow the old road down to the power station at Kerr Dam.
To find this cache park at the top of the old dam road just in front of the orange gate. Traffic on the trail is limited to foot and bicycle. This first cache is very close to the gate and should be an easy find. This road down to the power station is a lot shorter than the main road but also a lot steeper. Please note, during spring, summer and fall the main road gate at the junction of Kerr Dam Road and Valley View Road closes at sunset. During winter the main gate closes at 5:30pm.
