Geocache Description:




Another round of the New Years Party with our caching friends. The Tikibirds will be there (back from the Land of Corn), the Auctioneer is ready to go, and there will be a mix of the things you loved about past New Year parties, as well as some new traditions.

So, if you don't have any other plans, or feel that caching is the sole reason for your existence, or you've done it before and you actually want to do it again, consider our place to ring in the new year!

Event is open to all cachers, but since our house is not a major venue, we're limiting the event to the first 42 people (not 42 caching IDs!) who post a will attend and/or contact bretina. When reserving your spot, please indicate how many people are coming for your group.

This is primarily an adult-only party. There will be a few micro-cachers making the rounds (Liam, Brady, and perhaps a few of their friends) soaking up cuddles and hugs, but much of the time they will be upstairs in the bretina-baby-bay(tm) counting sheep and catching some nap time.

The theme as always is "Tropical", so bring your tropical shirts and cruise wear!

Where: This is a multi-stage Event. Posted coords are for Stage 1. (Please note: Stage 1 will not be available until the late afternoon of December 31st and contrary to popular demand is not a puzzle) Stage 1 has the coords for the final. Final stage is our home at Casa Bretina.

When: 9:30 PM - 1:00 AM

We will be providing pop, hats, noisemakers, etc. Bring your own beverages.

Please, bring a snack/dessert to share! Also, we'd love some additional items for our prize auction (auction does not involve real money and there won't be any 'bad bags' to worry about ;)

We'll be doing the inFamous photo slideshow on the TV again. Send any photos you would like (to add to our stockpile from last year) to newyear@bretina.net

There will also be a Signature Tag drawing. To get in the drawing, simply bring as many of your personal signature tags (the kind whose name starts with a P) as you like and drop them in the bin. Later in the evening we will draw out one tag and whose ever it is, wins the entire bucket of tags!

The Cold Cache Crew will be releasing a new winter cache series (consisting of 36 geocaches centered around a theme). FTF on these caches will be raffled off to those attending this event, so plan on those late night new year FTF runs!
